The AECC presents Higuerón Resort with the “Málaga Against Cancer” Award for its work in the fight against cancer

At Higuerón Resort, we are proud to contribute to this social cause and support its research and prevention efforts.

Málaga, November 29, 2025 — Higuerón Resort has been recognized today with the Málaga Against Cancer Award, granted by the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), which distinguishes the company as an Outstanding Collaborator for its strong commitment to research, prevention, and the fight against this disease.

The ceremony, held at the iconic Edgar Neville Auditorium, brought together key institutions from across the province, placing Higuerón Resort alongside the Málaga City Council, Málaga CF, and other leaders in social responsibility.

The award was accepted by Javier Rodríguez, CEO of Higuerón Resort, who highlighted the transformative role of collaboration between public and private organizations. This recognition reflects the philosophy of Higuerón Resort: creating genuine well-being, both for individuals and for the community. The AECC emphasized the resort’s active participation as the venue for charity galas, solidarity sports activities, and fundraising events, all of which have directly contributed to the advancement of research projects.

The resort’s facilities have become a benchmark space for solidarity, demonstrating that a premium environment can also be a driving force for change and a key agent in the fight against cancer.

We congratulate all the award recipients of this edition —Antonio Rueda, Melissa García, Málaga City Council, Málaga CF, David Peralto, and Colegio León XIII— for their outstanding work. And especially AECC Málaga for its tireless efforts and its transformative impact on society.
